Declaration on accessibility
At B Lab Germany, we are pursuing the goal of making our website bcorporation.de barrier-free and accessible to all users. We are currently aware that there is still room for improvement and are working on removing barriers in a targeted manner. In doing so, we rely on transparency, user feedback and proven standards.
Areas with successful implementation
Screen reader compatibility
Some interactive elements such as buttons already have the correct role attributes and descriptions, which makes navigation easier.
Contrasts
Important content on the website has sufficiently strong color contrasts to be easily perceived by people with visual impairments.
Structured content
The website uses a sensible hierarchy of headings that makes it easier for screen reader users to find their way around.
Identified deficiencies and planned improvements
Graphics and alt texts
A few images currently have no or insufficient alt texts. These will be added to ensure that important visual information is accessible to screen readers.
Navigation via keyboard
Some menus and clickable elements are difficult to access for keyboard navigation. We are planning a comprehensive revision here.
Forms
Labels and error messages in forms are not consistently implemented. In future, it will be ensured that all fields are clearly labeled and assistive technologies are fully supported.
Links and buttons
Some interactive elements are missing ARIA attributes or suitable descriptions. These are added systematically.
Low-barrier animations
Animations are adapted so as not to impair users with sensory impairments.
